Solutions journalism – rigorous reporting on how people are responding to social problems – has quickly become a standard practice in hundreds of newsrooms across the United States, with powerful intersections with investigative, collaborative, and cross-border reporting. In the past few years, the concept has spread rapidly through Central and Eastern Europe. This session will feature some of the authors pioneering solutions journalism in their countries, the obstacles they faced, and the impact of their stories.
Organized in association with Transitions and the Solutions Journalism Network.
