Faced with a multitude of overlapping crises in the world, media companies are currently refocusing and trying to offer their audiences more than just news. Many have understood that people want more journalistic guidance than ever before to figure out how to navigate through a large number of complex challenges. It seems that women media founders were particularly early to recognizing and responding to emerging trends. Meet three constructive female founders who have set out to put people's needs at the heart of journalism – each in her own way.
In this panel, they will share their experiences. Why did they choose a constructive strategy for their media organizations? What kind of response are they getting from their audiences and partners? Which challenges did they have to master during the founding process? And are there specific challenges that they have been confronted with as female founders in an industry that is still dominated by male managers and journalists?
