Catarina Carvalho is the founder and editor of Mensagem de Lisboa, a local community news media in Lisbon. And what a ride it has been, connecting the city dots, telling stories and contributing to “empathy” in the city. Mensagem has been serving communities throughout the city, focusing on underprivileged groups and lately experimenting with live journalism – they will host a Festival in June in Lisboa.
