Ahlem Khattab is a freelance multimedia journalist. From 2022 to 2024, she specialized in gender-sensitive and gender-conscious journalism. She produced a newsletter and helped develop and maintained a resource site, namely In the Balance. As part of a program by Sparknews, she wrote media analyses, conducted interviews with experts, and created a podcast featuring chats with excellent journalists who have been putting gender at the heart of their work for years.

In her career, she worked in Tunisia and in France as a TV reporter/producer (France Télévisions), a writer (Les Inrockuptibles, Jeune Afrique), a translator (Arte, Sparknews), a copywriter (Les Inrockuptibles), an editor-in-chief (Pop! Goes the Music), and more recently a radio host/producer (RTCI). Ahlem has spent most of her life in Tunisia, where she was born. At 22, she moved to France to study at the Ecole de journalisme de Lille. She is currently based in Paris.
