Berta Tilmantaite is a Lithuanian multimedia journalist, photographer and videographer. Her visual stories from different parts of the world focus on social issues, human rights, environment and connection between human and nature.
She has BA in Journalism from Vilnius University (Lithuania), she also took a course in Photojournalism at Danish School of Media and Journalism and holds MA in International Multimedia Journalism (University of Bolton/Beijing Foreign Studies University).
Berta is a co-founder and artistic director of multimedia platform for documentary projects Nanook. She also occasionally lectures at Vilnius University and VGT University in Vilnius, Lithuania.
She also works as a freelance multimedia journalist, photographer and videographer in different parts of the world. Berta’s work has been published in in various media outlets, websites and magazines such as National Geographic, Al Jazeera, Geographical, GEO, Rhythms Monthly, China daily and others. Berta’s photo, video stories and projects have won awards in international contests and festivals.
