Katharina Thomas
Katharina Thomas is Chief Operating Officer of the Allianz Foundation. In this role, she works at the intersection of the foundation’s strategy and its implementation, fostering strategic processes and implementing the foundation’s organizational development. She heads the Allianz Foundation grants program and is in charge of the administration and finance department.
Katharina began her career working at the strategy and planning desk for foreign cultural and educational policy at the Federal Foreign Office. Further stages included promoting high-level international event formats at Berlin’s Maxim Gorki Theatre and working as a speechwriter for Federal Foreign Minister and then President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Katharina pursued her studies in Tübingen and Chapel Hill and holds a degree in Rhetorical Studies, New English Literature and Philosophy.
