Sofia da Palma Rodrigues is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Divergente, the Portuguese digital magazine of narrative journalism that won Prix Europe’s Best European Online Media Project 2022.
Sofia has worked as investigative reporter in different countries in Europe, Africa and America. Her experience straddles the worlds of journalism, documentary and academia. She holds a PhD in Post-colonial Studies and in recent years has studied the micro-narratives that relate the experiences of the African troops that fought alongside Portugal during the Colonial War (1961-1974).
