Hamadou Tidiane Sy is a seasoned Senegalese journalist, journalism trainer and media consultant. He is the founder and director of E-jicom, a renowned media and communication school based in Dakar. He is also the founder of the award-winning West African online media outlet Ouestaf News.

Before that, he worked for major media outlets, including the BBC, AFP (Agence France Presse, Channel Africa, etc. During this period, he extensively travelled through the continent as a reporter.

A champion of ethics and high-quality journalism, Tidiane is also a board member of West Africa Democracy radio and Africa Check. He has received many accolades, including the “Media leadership Award” at the Rebranding Africa Forum in 2021. He is recognized as a social innovator in the field of news and knowledge by the Knight and Ashoka Foundations.
