Sulemana Braimah is Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa in Ghana. A former journalist, Sulemana is a media freedom defender and an unwavering advocate for freedom of expression. He founded The Fourth Estate, Ghana's first non-profit independent and investigative journalism outlet. At a time when critical journalism was under attack and the quality of news was dropping, he took the initiative to promote fact-based journalism that holds the powerful accountable.
