Joshua Olufemi is a media development practitioner, entrepreneur and the Founder of Dataphyte, a media and data analytics company. Prior to the launch of Dataphyte, Joshua was the Program Director at the Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism (PTCIJ). At PTCIJ, Joshua launched several social accountability and media development platforms such as Dubawa (fact-checking), UDEME (budget accountability), CampusReporterNG, Press Attack Tracker, Spoor, and PriceBoard. He has done great data-driven investigations and reporting of corruption, failure of regulatory agencies, and human rights abuses and is dedicated to achieving a better society where justice and fairness prevails. Joshua was the only data journalist among the Premium Times’ Team that published the multiple award-winning Panama Papers and Paradise Papers.
He holds a Bachelor in Economics and Education and a Masters in Measurement and Evaluation. Joshua is an alumnus of the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School where he bagged a Certificate in Global Fintech Program. He is a Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow.
