Jakob Moll

cofondatore Zetland

Jakob Moll is a co-founder and international director of Zetland, the most successful born-digital newspaper in Scandinavia, and a thought leader in reimagining journalism and the relationship between media and users. He was Zetland's founding CEO until stepping down in 2020 to pursue a Harvard fellowship and explore the dynamics of trust and the potential for Zetland's model outside Denmark.

Zetland has won multiple international awards for work that Jakob Moll directed as CEO, including for its original use of technology and turning its members into ambassadors. Zetland has sustained rapid growth since its launch in 2016, the company turned profitable in 2019 and is fully financed by paid membership from approximately 1 percent of the adult Danish population.

Jakob's interests as an entrepreneur lie in the intersection between journalism, technology and the human experience. As a business leader, he hopes to contribute to media systems worth trusting, journalistic organizations worth working in, and societies that are better able to both understand and overcome the challenges they face.
