María Monica Monsalve Sanchez
María Mónica Monsalve Sánchez is a Colombian journalist with more than seven years of experience covering environment and climate change. She received the Simon Bolivar Journalism Award in 2020 and holds an MSc in Climate Change, Development and Policy from the University of Sussex, UK. Some of her work has shown a special interest in how ancestral knowledge can dialogue with institutional science and contain answers to guide climate solutions. She currently works on América Futura, a project of the newspaper El País, which focuses on covering sustainable development in Latin America.
